Artists' Inspiration: My inspiration for this
artwork came from the ancient wine caves that I
have explored in Italy. They are magical places with
astounding architecture. I wanted a rich,
deeply intense colors that captured the warm
earthy feel of a wine cellar. There is a monk going
into the tunnel at the very back of the painting -
where is he going?
